Every year I try to do something different, which is hard when it feels as if you’ve tried everything! This year, I decided to look at some favorite books to see what I might try together, mixing annuals, tropicals, houseplants and even succulents all together. As a designer, I know that ideas can come from anywhere, an old magazine from an antiques show, an eBay gardening magazine from the early twentieth century, or even a classic gardening book on containers .
