Yes, It comes from Tibet AND my garden. Today, in the cold rain, I share not a flower, but a bud emerging from the ground of a Tibeten Rhubarb, Rheum palmatum. Grown from seed that I obtained from an expedition to China in 1999, this plant has spread slowly into a sizable clump.  Closely related to the garden Rhubarb, Rheum rhaponticum, this plant is grown by informed gardener for it&#8217;s broad foliage, which is somewhat palmate, (it&#8217;s leaf shape is more like a hand, with fingers, than one simple leaf shape like garden rhubarb). It&#8217;s always impressive, but hey, not nearly as impressive as it&#8217;s emerging..um&#8230;.bud.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;Tibet.
