Laura, if starting foxgloves from seed it too hard (sometimes it is because the seed is so small) try looking for plugs from a local flower farmer, or maybe at a good nursery local grown seedlings. I bought a few 6 packs from The Bunker Farm in VT (no mail order) and these have self seeded everywhere.

THanks John. Yes, I really need to continue with the blog I guess, many are asking me to. It’s just this new platform! Ugh. Be patient!! But, yes, last summer was a doozy here in Mass to grow anything – I agree.

Enjoying your latest post. The photos are beautiful—I particularly love your foxgloves!

My friend Pam and I met you at a wedding in NH in August (two ladies from Pennsylvania). I very much enjoyed our conversation and promptly purchased your books from Amazon upon my return home. Exceptional photos and information!

Thanks for the sharing your skills and great eye for beauty!

Anna

I am happy to see you back. I was afraid you might be giving up the blog. I was so inspired and invigorated reading your work here and especially your books last winter I only have great memories of my garden from last summer despite all the same weather challenges (I am just outside Boston). Thanks!
John

So glad….and relieved that you posted! 2021 was a difficult year in many ways but not having your blog to turn to, when the news of the day, often times, was bleak…well, that was worrisome. I look forward to your next post!
