I grew the Chabaud Giants in high school; they did well enough, but never got as big as they should. This year I ordered some perpetual carnations from Annie's Annuals and thus far they have done beautifully in big clay pots on the balcony.

Perhaps, I didn't spend enough time with it. My lilies bloom and thrive beautifully, though, this year.

Is the raised bed a worry concerning the weight of the soil and bottom of the bed? I would think that the weight of the soil and the plants growing would cause a strain on the bottom. Is it a wood floor, or are there cross pieces? Do tell! Everything looks great so far.
