This is great to know – maybe I’ll try them this year!

Thanks Dee, we're not getting old, we're getting better! So, my sweet peas are still short and not blooming yet, but I pinched them twice, and they were frozen on night when we had that issue with our furnace, but they will catch up once I set them out in the garden – if our snow ever melts! Thanks for comments! Matt

Ugh. I'm so glad to see zinnias on your list. I love them so much. Also, hyacinth bean is so wonderful. It will be cool that we're both growing some similar things. Thank you for the link love. I came over to see what you're up to, and there it was. I thought it was so ironic since I referred a woman to one of your sweet pea posts. BTW, I tried the low-light sweet peas at your suggestion. They are now blooming in the greenhouse. They smell delicious. I've never had any luck with sweet peas before. I think I'll put them outside in the potager after I harden them off a bit.~~Dee

I grew Mina 'Citronella' last year from Summer Hill seeds and unfortunately it's not all yellow. Maybe they got the seeds mixed up, but it looked similar to the regular one, just a bit more pastel. It was nice and maybe yours will be true to description. I also was wondering about how you keep the double Tropaeolums going from year to year. My single ones from seed are great till about August when the heat and humidity, not to mention aphids, does them in. Thanks for the so-interesting and pretty blog. Kim.

My clump is so dense I don't think I could get it all. Great Blog, regards, Simon

What Chiltern is calling Qualmoclit is also known as mina lobata or Spanish Flag. I have a list of what I'm sowing on my So Seedy page on my blog. We're growing very different things, except for a mutual love of zinnias. :o) I grew so many last year that this year I'm scaling back a bit to try different things. Good luck! LOVE your greenhouse!
