You will have to post and let us know how it all turns out. I too have been hasty in the past removing pots from their winter sleep when teased with young green sprouts. But can you blame me? In the dead of winter, snow in my area, anything green and growing is tempting:)

Thanks – So much! I had found this page last year, but I fear that the posts are so old that I would be able to trace any sources – still, it's a start. Thank you again!

I found your comment about trying 'other' Cobaea when doing a picture search for some.

You may find this link interesting.

OF the two species of Paeonia from North America, this one is my favorite – but with its irregular germination, who knows what to expect. At least it doesn't require stratification.

Thanks Jane, it is nice when the sun is out in January – when it is cloudy, not so much!

There is nothing nicer than working in the greenhouse on a cold but sunny day.

My NARS seeds have not yet arrived but it should not be long now.

Never seen this one before, must be a special one not interesting for commercial growers. Lots of Cymbidiums are grown here in the glasshouses around us, but the usual one in all kind of colours.

I'm waiting to see if my seedling put in last spring survived its summer dormancy first winter. RGS members around here poo-poo it as an ugly flower. Sure, it can't compare to the Asiatic species, but I think it has a beautiful flower. It is definitely underrated.
