I once grew Boganvillia in a large, glazed chinese pot. It was purple and was called (I think) Mrs Butt. I had two pots, one each side of the front door, and they looked magnificent and were easy to keep in control. Boganvillia can be a wicked vine!

Get rid of the Boganvillia its a pest. Has thorns that will rip your skin and is capable of pulling down a verandah. We cut one down now the stump is shooting so we'll have to use a poison or pay to get the stump removed
yuk.

I have a Boganvillia, that is threatening to bring the verandah down any ideas? Its beautiful but heavy.
